I thought I would tell you a little bit about myself and why I have launched this cross-stitch company.

 

My name is Norma Penny and I have been a cross-stitch embroider since my first experience as a little girl at school, sewing a cross-stitch bookmark.

 

I trained as a primary school teacher and teaching has been my main passion for the past 40 years. I have recently retired and have decided to re-launch a cross-stitch company I developed when my oldest son was born in 1986. At this time, whilst at home bringing up my son, I decided to create a birth sampler to celebrate his birth along with creating some for friends who had had children. Everyone loved the idea and this soon developed into a small cottage business. Once I returned to teaching, I no longer had the time to run a company and commit to full-time teaching. I have however continued to sew during my career and still enjoy sewing today.

Now I have the time and the enthusiasm to relaunch my cross-stitch company and provide easy to sew birth samplers.

 

My very easy cross-stitch designs have been created for the beginner in mind although experienced sewers still enjoy the ease with which they can complete the samplers.

All the kits include a pre-printed sampler with personal details of your child. The kits also include threads, a needle, and full instructions. Unlike most samplers, where counting is involved, my designs are easy and require the sewer to simply sew over the crosses on the sampler.
